Privacy Policy

The Pure Gas Privacy Policy was updated on Feb 9, 2019.

At Pure Gas we understand how critical it is to keep your personal data safe. We are committed to ensuring that you receive the first class service you expect from us, but that your privacy is protected when you shop with us.

This policy explains what information we collect from you, how we use it to deliver our highly rated service and what your rights are in respect of your personal data. Please read it through carefully and get in touch with us using the contact information at the bottom if you have any questions or concerns.

Information we ask for on our website

When you purchase from Pure Gas, whether that’s a fully fitted boiler with installation or any other products or services, we need to collect and store some of your personal details to make sure everything runs smoothly and you get the service you expect.

Below are some examples of the personal information we collect:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Property type like flat or detached house
  • Property details like number of bedrooms and bathrooms
  • Current boiler details

We need to store the information requested during the shopping process in case you decide to make a purchase, as it will be used to deliver and install your new boiler. This is stored locally on your computer, tablet or mobile using cookies. You can find out more about how we use cookies and how to opt out of them here: https://puregasheating.co.uk/cookies/

We also store the above information securely in our database for a period of 3 months in case you start a finance application and come back to us later to complete your purchase.

If you choose to pay by finance our third party finance provider Hitachi Capital (UK) Plc will require additional information which will be shared with our lenders Hitachi Personal Finance to assess your suitability for our finance products. More information about how Hitachi use your data can be found here: https://www.hitachipersonalfinance.co.uk/privacy-policy/

During and just after the finance application process you may receive emails from Hitachi. If you have any questions or concerns about how Hitachi use your personal information you can get in touch with them by emailing them at this address: [email protected]

If you go ahead and purchase our boiler installation service we can ask for some photos of your property if you have not had a property survey. Our engineers use these photos to check through your order and double check that everything you’ve chosen on our website is the right fit for your property. We need to store these photos so that our Pur Gas Gas Safe installer who will be performing the work can refer to them. In the unlikely event of any issues in the future we store these photos so that we have a record of how the heating in your home was looking before installation. We store these photos securely for 6 years after your installation date. This is necessary for legal compliance reasons such as Building Regulations.

Finally in order to send out your invoice and keep a record of the transaction we securely store information about your order indefinitely in our accounting systems, for example:

  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Your property type
  • Your installation date
  • The serial number of your boiler
  • The product information of your boiler
  • Which other products your purchased
  • How much you paid for the service
  • How you paid for the service
  • Any issues you had with the service

We don’t process data for any other purposes (such as marketing) without expressly asking your permission.

When and how we might contact you

During the process of organising, installing and registering your boiler we may contact you by phone or email in order to check some details, let you know important information about the installation and also to check that you are happy with the service after our installer has completed the work.

If you choose to pay by finance, during and just after the finance application you may receive emails from Divido (see section on Divido above).

If you choose to opt-in to our receive marketing from us (this is done by clicking the checkbox in the ordering journey) we may get in touch with you by phone or email to let you know about new products and services.
